SALAH AND MANE IN TROUBLE WITH LIVERPOOL BOSS AS HE MAKES SHOCKING WARNING ABOUT PREMIER LEAGUE GOLDEN BOOT

Liverpool boss has made a shocking statement regarding the Premier League race to the Golden Boot this season with two of his stars; Mo Salah and Sadio Mane being the front runners for the crown. Mane has been included in the PFA Team of the year for his efforts this season and Salah is on course to win the golden boot for a second consecutive season.

Jurgen Klopp says he will speak to Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane about reducing their efforts to win the Premier League Golden Boot as both players bagged braces on Friday night. The Egyptian took his tally for the season to 21 goals in the 5-0 demolition of Huddersfield, while Mane is just one behind after netting with two brilliant headers.

Both Players had chances to increase their tallies with Mane coming close again and hitting the woodwork with a header. Both players looked like they wanted even more goals as the match became more and more open late on, but Klopp wants them to rein in their attacking instincts in future.

“It’s difficult. I spoke to them, I didn’t want them to chase back anymore or stuff like that,’ the Liverpool boss explained on Sky Sports when asked about their battle for the Golden Boot. ‘But for sure, in this moment, we are human beings – one has 21 now and the other 20 – so [you can’t] take one off in that moment. Both looked really good.”

“When you see then how Mo is running with each ball you think, “what the heck are you doing?” It’s good, but we need to talk about that obviously, that’s
‘‘But today was a day where you have to leave them on the pitch and manage the game in a very offensive way, which they did obviously.’ He continued: ‘If we start thinking about who could score, when, what, then we have a massive problem.
“The boys did really well, I would say until the last five, six minutes, then it’s normal when Sadio had that beautiful header and Mo a shot a bit far.”

Salah has scored more goals than any previous Liverpool player in their first 100 appearances for the club, and Klopp was full of praise for the record-breaker. The German added: ‘’He is being really assessed by people to see if it was a one hit and keeping that level is a bigger achievement than scoring 40 goals last season. He made a big step this season.’’

Liverpool will be keeping an eye on City’s Premier League clash with Burnley on Sunday as they begin to  prepare for their crucial first leg semi-final clash with Barcelona at the Now Camp.
